The SAD Group includes a network of wholesale centers located in six cities and towns of northern Poland. The Company head office is located in Tczew and the remaining wholesale centers are in Elbląg, Kwidzyn, Malbork, Rumia and Starogard Gdański.

In our wholesale centers we sell high quality fruit we produce ourselves and the imported fruit, vegetables and food products. We also offer goods delivery to the client.

 

Every day we service over 500 small and medium stores. Thanks to our experience and many commercial contacts we have most fruit and vegetables in our offer all year round. In the most part they come directly from the producers.

The products we sell in our wholesale centers come both from domestic as well as from the farms abroad. We import fresh fruit and vegetables, mainly from Belgium, Spain, Holland and Hungary. The produce with special handling requirements is transported in refrigerated trucks which allows to maintain the highest quality.

We enjoy a very good reputation among our business partners. We were five times honored with “The Business Gazelles” award.

The SAD Group includes the family orchard farms situated in Tczew and neighboring area of the total area of almost 300 ha. Apple trees make up the most of the farming. We also farm pear trees, sweet cherry trees, sour cherry trees, plum trees, peach trees and hazelnuts. In the most part they are sold in our wholesale centers, and a part of them is designated for export. The average annual production is over 7 thousand tons.



Thanks to many years of experience, advanced technology of cultivation and the knowledge of the market needs, we produce excellent quality fruit of many varieties. The apples from our farms are calibrated in the automatic sorting plant with the water unloading of case pallets which ensures the same size of fruit in the packaging and its highest quality.

As one of the leaders in Poland we have introduced the returnable plastic cases. They increase the transport safety, facilitate the hygiene maintenance during production process and enhance the fruit esthetics in the packaging.



We have modern storage facilities of the total capacity of 12 thousand m3, composed mostly of the controlled atmosphere refrigerated storage facilities. They guarantee the maintenance of the high quality features of the apples we offer and their availability all year round.

In 2008 our farms established Pomorska Grupa Producencka “SAD” Sp. z o.o. [the “SAD” Pomeranian Producers Group a limited liability company].

The regular investments made in the modern farming methods have resulted in the increase in crops thanks to which in 2009 we decided to start exporting our apples.
 

The fruit for sale abroad is also sorted by means of the sorting plant with water unloading. They are packed in carton packages.

The SAD Group is a family business whose beginnings date back to 1987. Initially, we mainly produced apples. At present the scope of our business activity also involves other fields of the fruit and vegetable industry.

 

In 1992 we opened our first wholesale center. Then, we developed the sales network by adding new centers and we started to import fruit and vegetables. In 2009 we also started to independently export the apples we produce.
